Trump Immigration Suspension : Updates

In a major disappointment for the Indian IT Professionals, The United states President Donald Trump has decided to temporarily suspend immigration due to rising number of Corona Virus positive cases in US. He mentioned this yesterday last evening ( April 20th) through his twitter account and wrote , “In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to suspend immigration into the United States temporarily!”. United States of America has now has around 22 million people who have lost their job due to COVID-19 pandemic. Even though he didn’t mentioned any more details to whom it applies to.

President Donald Trump has clarified that his suspension move only applies to those seeking for green cards in hopes on staying in US. He mentioned that this suspension move would not impact any of those who are in country on a temporary basis. This would include all the people applying for Green cards for employment and relatives of green card holders who are not citizens. Suspension would last for 60 days. This came as a much relief to Indian dispora as many thought President Trump is mentioning about the new H1B visa process for the current year.
