After six days of fasting demanding Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, the leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's health condition said to have deteriorated. Police forcibly foiled the indefinite fast undertaken by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and shifted him to the trauma care centre at the Government General Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.
A team by Additional Superintendent of Police J. Bhaskara Rao reached the venue at about 4 a.m. and swiftly moved to Jagan amidst slogan shouting supporters.
Jagan, who has been in an indefinite fast for the last six days seeking special category status, was sleeping in the make shift tent when a posse of police personnel reached the venue.
Jagan’s wife Bharathi, his sister Sharmila and mother Y S Vijayamma were beside him at the GGH.
Superintendent, GGH, Raju Naidu said that Jagan’s health was showing signs of improvement after he was administered fluids. Medical reports on Tuesday suggested that the ketone levels had reached an abnormal levels, which might lead to renal failure.
Jagan's BP was recorded as 130/90, pulse rate was 56 and Sugar was at 65. Doctors advised 24 hours observation for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
