YS Jagan calls for Andhra Pradesh bandh

29 July 2016

Now it is time for Jagan to utilize the golden opportunity of special status refutation by the central government. In order to oppose the centre's knockback to grant the special status to the state of Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP president YS Jagan called for Andhra Pradesh bandh on Tuesday.  He criticized that the AP State BJP cadre and its ally, TDP, both are failed to impress the center to get the special status to the state. Jagan also commented during a press meet, while the YSR Congress MPs are raising the issue in the Parliament TDP MPs are showing the incapability and hesitation to join their hands to protest the central government. Jagan is now getting ready to strongly protest the BJP-TDP alliance that failed to succeed the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh and he has chosen the state bandh.

This development happened after the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday clearly stating in the Rajya Sabha that there is no scope of extending the Special Category Status to the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The future of five crore people of Andhra Pradesh continues to be at stake as a result of this decision by the central government. However, as the Congress party which did not even get the deposits during the 2014 general elections is strongly opposing the Center’s decision, YSRCP decided to raise their voice otherwise, they will be faded in the race of gaining the political milage. YSR Congress Party wants to remain or showcase their position as the peoples’ sole representative that uncompromisingly fights for the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. Time shall decide whether Jagan’s call makes any audible sound or ends-up with a pale response.
