Vizag is a city of happenings now. India’s International Fleet review kicked off a major display of maritime might, with ships from 50 navies converging on the country's east coast. Many ships including from the US, French, British and Chinese navies are taking part in the International Fleet Review in the Bay of Bengal — a ceremonial inspection and parade of boats and crews.
Inaugurating the exhibition, organised in connection with the International Fleet Review here on Thursday, the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that Vizag will be a global city in few years. He mentioned that Vizag has the advantage of having Eastern Naval Command which could facilitate and coordinate with the defence production units providing them good security.
Chandrababu Naidu also congratulated Vizag for winning the Smart City Challenge. He mentioned that there will be few MOU signed with US Companies in the coming months for Vizag.
