One more YSRCP leader, Vedavyas shifts to TDP

17 October 2016

After a short break, looks like the defections restarted from YSRCP to the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh. Well-known Kapu leader and former deputy speaker of the state assembly Vedavyas Buragadda has decided to join the Telugu Desam Party. On Sunday noon, he has officially quit the YSR Congress party and announced he will be joining the Telugu Desam Party in the presence of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The joining date is also decided as October 21st.

On the other hand, Vedyavyas also have had a jumping history in the past, he was originally from the Congress Party, then shifted to Praja Rajyam party of Chiranjeevi, he later returned back to the Congress party but soon shifted to YSR Congress party and contested from Pedana constituency of Krishna district during the 2014 elections. He lost the elections, after that he has become a quiet passive member of the YSRCP party and hardly visible in the YSRCP. Now after 2 years, he is now decided to jump into TDP

As usual, the YSR CP boss, Jaganmohan Reddy blamed the betrayal of Vedavyas. But on the other hand, Vedavyas told that he had felt humiliated in YSRCP, as Jagan had no respect for seniors. He also added that several times he was ignored by his own party cadre and it was just because of the instructions made by YS Jagan Reddy.
