Amaravati: Government of Andhra Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Russian State Marine Technical University in order to support marine education and technology. The contract was signed at St. Petersburg city on Wednesday during the CM, Chandrababu Naidu’s first day of his Russia tour.
The university is going to work closely with the United Shipbuilding Corporation and Rosoboronexport. These firms will involve in the marine sector in India and in Andhra Pradesh as well. The president of United Shipbuilding Corporation, Rakhmanov Alexey on Wednesday during a press meet announced that the Marine university will be establishing its headquarters in Amaravati by keeping the AP state’s unique marine activity, tremendously supports the commercial usage of the water based transport which is cheaper than the other types of transportation.
