On the first day of New Year, Jana Sena Chief , Pawan Kalyan met Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao. He spent around one and half hour with Chief Minister KCR. Many thought that Pawan Kalyan might have spoken to KCR about possible alliance with TRS in the upcoming assembly elections.
Coming out of the meeting, Pawan Kalyan said that meeting was not about politics but it was about state government’s 24X7 free power supply to farmers. Pawan Kalyan said that he was very happy about the progress Telangana made from a power deficient state to no power-cuts state. He congratulated KCR and learnt in detail how this was made possible. He recalled former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s statement that Telangana would suffer badly with Power Scarcity if State is divided.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, KCR announced that Telangana is the first state in the country that will be giving 24 hours’ free power supply to farming sector. He congratulated the employees of the electricity companies in the state and announced a special increment from January 1st.
