22 year old forces to ban mobile internet in Gujarat

Yes, Strange but true! Mobile internet is banned in Gujarat after the arrest of Hardik Patel, 22 year old who is leading the protest for Patel Quota.  Hardik Patel was detained by the police along with 35 of his supporters ahead of his “ Ekta march” from Surat.  State Administration said that mobile internet ban is to curb spread of rumours that might lead to unrest in the state.

22 year old Hardik Patel came in to limelight when he organized a rally in Ahmedabad where more than 10 lakh patel community has attended. Hardik is against the OBC Quota system in the state.  His fire brand image is gaining popularity among patel community. In most of the rallies he organized, he said ,” Give us what we are asking for, else, we know how to take it” Even though he was active with different patel organisations before, he came out and formed a Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) , non – political organization that aims to fight with state government to include patidar community in OBC quota. He accused Narendra Modi of not fulfilling the election promises of making Gujarat having business friendly policies.

Hardik patel along with his associates are given a bail late in the night. Patel community members had earlier blocked roads in Navasari, Morbi, Mehsana, Amreli and Jamnagar districts.
