This is it !! As expected, Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao decided to cancel the EAMCET-2 Entrance examination after a four-hour long meeting with ministers and officials of higher education, law, police and intelligence agencies. Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, ministers C. Laxma Reddy, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, chief secretary Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma and Intelligence IG Shivadhar Reddy, CID chief Satyanarayana, law secretary Santhosh Reddy and other officials were present. KCR also reviewed the progress of the probe in the medical paper leak scam. Eamcet- 3 is expected to be held in mid- august.
KCR before the taking the decision to cancel the EAMCET -2 entrance examination enquired about the legal hurdles and pros and cons and the similar situations that happened before and the decision the ruling governments took that time. Officials replied that till date about 80 paper leak incidents had been reported and the respective governments, agencies had cancelled those exams and had conducted re-exams. They said that various SC and HC judgements were in favor of conducting a re-exam whenever papers were leaked. Officials also cautioned KCR about the possibility of people going to court challenging the admissions on the given rank basis.
Anyways, it’s a bad news for the students who really worked hard and got good ranks. They have to prepare again for the exams. One can easily understand the plight of students and the mental condition. Well, what else can be done by the government which acted too late, instead all precautions might have taken before going for exams.
