Anantapur gets a 6,554-cr special package

Andhra Pradesh CM, Chandrababu Naidu on Monday has announced a grand package of 5,554 Crores for special development of the Anantapur district. This time Chandrababu has selected Anantapur as the place of his flag hoisting on the occasion of Indian Independence day. During his speech Chandrababu added that “Anantapur was always close to the heart of NTR, our party’s founder. We will name this Rs. 6,554-crore initiative after him and with his inspiration I want to take it forward”. Chandrababu assigned 1,764 crore which will be exclusively utilized for drought proofing of the district.

The other areas where money is going to spend are agriculture, dairying, Peruru and Bhairavanitippa irrigation projects, reviving and modernization of water tanks etc. Naidu paid tribute to the freedom fighters and recalled how Anantapur gave birth to some big achievers like Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft. Naidu also criticized the Congress government which is responsible for unscientific and unfair bifurcation of the state just to satisfy the political view if Sonia Gandhi.
