Devineni Nehru (re) joins TDP

Senior Congress leader, Devineni Nehru on Thursday joined the ruling TDP in the presence of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu during a public meet in Vijayawada City. Nehru had a past history with the Telugu Desam party, during the 1991 elections, Nehru accompanied Chandrababu for the election canvas for the 1991 elections in Krishna district and TDP won those two seats.  But right after few days, Chandrababu and Nehru left each other due to some unknown reasons. Eventually, the distance what was created has become more and more which lead Nehru to leave TDP and join Congress Party. At certain point of time, Nehru has become one of the strongest opponents to Telugu Desam party from Krishna District. After so many years, again due to the change in political equations, state’s bifurcation and post bifurcation consequences and the power regain of TDP, Nehru was again attracted towards TDP.

On Thursday occasion of Devineni's reentry event into Telugu Desam, Avinash, Devineni's son also accompanied his father. He expressed his confidence that the TDP flag would continue sky high in the Krishna district at least for the next 30 years.
