Congress enters the Nandyal Bypoll race

Nandyal By-polls are going through twists and turns. Bypoll which is being held because of sudden demise of MLA Bhuma Nagireddy are heading for a three-way battle. Already YSRCP and ruling TelugDesam are locking their horns to win the election, AP Congress Party Chief, Raghuveera Reddy announced that it will also field its candidate in the Nandyal Bypolls. From YSRCP, Shilpa Mohan Reddy got the ticket and Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy is standing in the elections from Telugu Desam. Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy is Bhuma NagiReddy 's Elder Brother Sekhar Reddy's Son. Challenges are thrown at each other by YSRCP and Telugu Desam party. Akhila Priya and Shilpa Mohan Reddy announced that they will quit politics if they lose the elections.  Nandyal by-polls are also considered to be a refereddam for Chandrababu Naidu’s rule in Rayalaseema region. YSR Congress Party has a strong hold in Rayalaseema region. As a matter of fact, its was YSRCP that won last elections in Nandyal. Bhuma Nagireddy was elected from YSRCP , later he joined the ruling TDP.
