Christian missionaries get ready to convert Hindus during Brahmotsavalu

28 September 2016

Despite the tab put on the Christian conversations across the Hindu Holy places, there is still a lot of illegal conversions that are being taken place across India, especially in the South. A Tamil Nadu based Christian Missionary is deliberately ready to conduct a massive scale “Suvaratha Sabha” in the Hindu Holy City, Tirupati. Allegedly, their main goal is to target the innocent and ignorant Hindus who visit the one of the most auspicious days, Tirumala Brahmotsavalu. It is recorded that, the same practice has been happening from the past 2 years and the state government has no steps taken against to this yet. Local people and other Hindu Organizations are little upset with the Government’s laid backness and they want the government to take a serious action on these anti-Hindu organizations. These kind of activities received a good boost and support during the YS Rajashekar Reddy’s era.

Interacting with press here in Tirupati on Monday, president of HCS (Hindu Cultural Society), Tumma Omkar alleged that Christian missionaries had been organizing such events ‘deliberately’ to coincide with the mega auspicious occasion, Brahmotsavam.

He said that “This has happened in the previous years too. This year, they have decided to hold the meetings in a four-acre area near Cotton Mill from October 6-9 and arrangements are going on. Our only question is why would they conduct their meetings during the annual Brahmotsavams, year after year?” he sought to know. In the meantime, another Hindu Samiti called ‘Jai Bharath Seva Samstha’ appealed for closure of meat and alcohol outlets across the city till the completion of the Srivari Brahmotsavams.
