Chandra Babu Naidu in Kazakhstan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is on a 5-day trip to Russia and Kazakhstan. He along with Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and a group of Senior Bureaucrats reached Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan on Saturday evening.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested Chandrababu Naidu to vist Kazakhstan and study how its new capital city Astana was built. Narendra Modi visited Kazakhstan last year.

Chandrababu Naidu met Kazakhstan Defense Minister and former Mayor I.N. Tasmagambetov during whose tenure the city grew into one of the world’s most remarkable capital cities that was designed by renowned Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. Naidu and his team visited Kok-Tobe mountain, a popular tourist spot in Almaty, which they reached in a cable car.They enquired about the feasibility of developing a similar tourist destination in the mountain ranges of A.P.

The Chief Minister will seek the advice of Mr. Tasmagambetov and the urban planners on possible replication of the kind of facilities that made Astana a great capital city in the modern era, in Amaravati, the new capital city of A.P

Both Astana and Amaravati are on the bank of rivers. Astana is on the banks of Ishim River where as Amaravati is on the bank of River Krishna.  Chandrababu Naidu is also scheduled to participate in the 7th International Industrial trade fair.
