Andhra Pradesh to become the first fiber state in India

Amaratavi: The much-talked and most awaited fibernet is set to be launched next week across the AP state. This project is now a reality. With this project, every house and across the length and breadth of the State, would have internet, television and telephone connection and that too for just Rs 149 a month. 

This project was prestigiously taken by the AP state government, as a part of the Digital India program of the Central government had finally set to become a reality. Andhra Pradesh would be the first State in the country proviing internet to the door steps of the people at the lowest price. 

To make it a reality, the State government had used the existing electricity poles across the State to lay surface cables to provide these services as against the underground cables proposed by the Central government in the Digital India scheme. Chief Minister, Chandrababu had created a Fibernet Corporation in the State that had executed the work across the State in a record time. The Chief Minister announced making of Fibernet facilities available to the people in one week. AP CM participated in Digital India conclave here in Vijayawada on Friday. Naidu said that the AP would soon become another Silicon Valley with the Internet of Things making available to all the people across the state irrespective of the financial status. He also added that the state government has committee to provide the information technology to every citizen of the state and to provide quality services as transparently as possible by digitalizing the state governance.
