Water fight stops when Godavari floods

Until yesterday, both the Telugu States were busy in fighting for one drop of water. Now there is too much of excess flood water and as a result, there has been a severe flood warding right from Kaleswaram through Khammam district to the East and West Godavari Districts. Already 28 villages in have already lost their connectivity in the East Godavari District, many causeways located in the Konaseema area are experiencing a heavy traffic delays due to the heavy inflows to the River.

Earlier, the river level was 49.5 feet at Bhadrachalam on Monday evening has now rose to 53 feet by Tuesday morning. The water level at Dhawaleswaram barrage was 13 feet around 12 noon on Tuesday.
