Kumbha Mela at Nasik, 2015

Every 12 Years, in the lunar month of Maagha Masam, when the Sun and Jupiter are in Simha Raasi zodiac sign, Kumbha Mela of River Godavari, is held at Trimbakeshwar in Nasik. Last time it was held back in 2003, which resulted into an incredible festive season for the people of Maharashtra in particular and the people of India in general. Now it is again  time to the Kubha Mela of Nasik which is will be held from the 14th to September to the 25th.

Nasik Kumbh Mela Schedule is given below:

14th July 2015 (Tuesday): Flag hoisting of the main ceremony at Rama Kundam

14th August 2015 (Friday): Flag hoisting of the Akhara at Sadhugram

26th August 2015 (Wednesday): Sraavana Shudha- 1st Snaanam

29th August 2015 (Saturday): Sraavana Purnima - 1st Shahi Snaanam at Rama Kundam

13th September 2015 (Sunday): Bhadrapada Amaavasya - 2nd Shahiam Snaan/ Main bathing day

18th September 2015 (Friday): Bhadrapada Sukla Panchmi (Rushipanchami) - 3rd Shahi Snaanam

 25th September 2015 (Friday): Bhadrapada Sukla Dwadasi - Vaamana Dwadasi Snaanam
