Indian Telugu Student Praveen Galla found dead

Praveen Galla, Cal State Fullerton Indian Telugu Student found dead at New Port Beach in California. Praveen Galla was reported missing since 2nd Feb 2016 and his body located at Newport Beach by Huntington Beach lifeguards around 11:30 am. “The decedent was found in the ocean,” the coroner’s website stated, giving the location as 1,000 feet from the pier.


The condition of Galla’s body was not known, and an autopsy would determine his cause of death. Galla was last seen on Feb. 1, when he took an Uber vehicle from Fullerton to California State University, Fullerton, according to a missing persons flyer sent out by campus police on 3rd Feb 2016. His friends complained to police about his missing on February 2nd and have been searching for him since. One of his friend tweeted Ms. Sushma Swaraj, the minister of External Affairs (MEA). Consulate General of India in San Francisco has urged Fullerton University Police and local authorities to activate their efforts to trace Praveen after the student’s friend M. Kore and others sent in requests to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj for help. Praveen, a former student of Gitam University, Bhubaneswar, is a native of Tirupati. His father Galla Nageswara Rao, a native of Nelimarla in Irala mandal is settled in Tirupati. Praveen is pursuing MS from California State University in Fullerton city.Praveen was depressed about his academic issues, according to Fullerton police.
