A 34-year-old Hyderabad Student, Mir Baquer Ali Rizvi, who was pursuing MBA in London was pronounced dead at Osterley Tube station last Tuesday. He is living in UK for six years. He is a resident of Miralam Mandi in Hyderabad.
"Three years ago, he had an accident in which he got seriously injured. After getting treated there, he came to India for around 45 days in 2014. After that he went back. He had a case filed against him in a UK court which he won," Taqi Haider, the victim's brother-in-law, said. A communication to the family from the Central Bureau of Investigation said Baquer was found dead near the train station on Tuesday night at around 9 pm.
British Transport Police (BTP), who led the investigation, ruled out murder as the cause of the death at this stage though the official reason will only be confirmed by a coroner at a future date. "We were called to Osterley London Underground station at 7.45pm on Tuesday, 12th April, following reports of a person being struck by a train," a BTP spokesperson said. "The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and his family have been made aware. A file will be prepared for the coroner." The official cause of death will only be confirmed by a coroner at a future date, but murder is being ruled out at this stage.
The victim’s family has requested the Government of India to help them bring back the body as soon as possible.
