Once again Chandra Babu Naidu earned the rarest feat in very few days. In the World Bank Report released on Monday on the "ease of doing business", Andhra Pradesh has been ranked Second with a score of 70.12%.
World Bank gives these rankings based on the implementations status of 98 point reform measures which include settings of businesses, land allocation, permits, environment clearance, labour regulations compliance, infrastructure utilities, registering, tax procedure compliance, inspections etc. Gujarat ranked number one with a score of 71.14%.
One year after the bifurcation of the state, Andhra Pradesh seems to have made an impact through its investor-friendly initiatives. Telangana which is also a result of bifurcation stands at 13 position. Nara Chandrababu Naidu who was very happy with the report, tweeted, "Delighted to announce that Andhra Pradesh has been ranked 2nd in India on 'Ease of Doing Business' by World Bank. We're making an impact."
